So, I decided to make a new combination of ingredients and make a new flavor I never tried. So these are the ingredients:
-Pepper( Black) -Salmon
-Lemon -Blue Cheese
-Orange -Parsley
-Salt
-Olive oil
First, I cooked the vegetables and fruits separately with the olive oil on the pan. Such as Pepper, oranges. Then, I melted my blue cheese by steam. Lastly, I cooked my salmon seasoning it simply with salt and pepper. Then, I plated my ingredients and this is how it looked.
After taking the pictures, I tried the food. I think it was a success for me. I gave my friend a try, and he thought it was good, which I think it is a success. The most think I was worried about was the blue cheese, but not like my worries, it went so well with salmon. Oh, you shouldn't forget to squeeze lemon on top of the salmons.
Some dip of blue cheese, lemon and some peppers, the spicy flavor(Just a bit) and the sour flavor from the lemon, and the umami from the cheese got mixed together and made a great combination of flavor. Especially lemon helped eliminate the fishy odor from the salmon.
The food was unique to me because it was the first time I actually grilled or pan fried salmon, and even cooked anything with blue cheese. It was a great experience for me to try cooking these by my self, not just for my cooking skills, but also for being creative about tastes and ingredients. I will definitely try cooking salmon and blue cheese again, but not the same as this time. I want to try more different recipes of my own.
